Our Meter of the Month for June is the meter of earth, the senses, abundance, & strength: trochaic. I will be offering two Meter Magic classes in this kickass meter, along with our trochaic month in Poetry Witchery Community.

Create the Spell to Change Your Life: Five Directions Womencircle

A gentle, welcoming space for reflection, connection, and creativity.

Each month, join poet and teacher Annie Finch for a guided circle designed to help you reconnect with yourself and your intentions. Inspired by ancient traditions and Annie’s own personal practice, Five Directions Womencircle invites you to explore how the energies of the five sacred directions—East, South, West, North, and Center—can offer insight into your current life journey.

We'll begin with journaling and sharing in a supportive environment. Then, using a poetic practice called Meter Magic, we’ll shape our intentions into a simple, powerful spell—a poetic “amulet” you can return to for strength and inspiration throughout the month.

No prior experience with poetry or magic is needed. If you identify as a woman or gender-nonconforming, you are warmly welcome to join. Each month, you’ll receive suggestions on what to bring or prepare ahead of time, along with access to a private class space for participants.

Come as you are—curious, tired, joyful, uncertain. There’s space for all of you in the circle.
