Special Announcement: Scanning Dactyls!

Dear Readers of Annie Finch’s Poetry Witchery,

As you well know, I very rarely make any announcements about my activities or appearances in this space.

Here is an exception: an entire online class devoted to the scansion of dactyls, which I will teach starting on July 24. It’s so rare and meter-nerdy that I couldn’t resist sharing it with you! I have never done a whole 4-week class devoted to a single meter, and I am beside myself with excitement. We will also be using the brand-new edition of How to Scan a Poem that I have been working on cleaning up and perfecting for weeks now.

Also, for you wonderful meter-loving men out there, please note that unlike my regular meter teaching which takes place in a space reserved for women and gender nonconforming people, this upcoming class welcomes all genders!
